OUR VISION
To provide a quality developmental and competitive swim program for young people to meet their full potential in competitive swimming and to build the future of the community through excellence in swimming, while fostering personal development, academics and healthy lifestyles.
OUR MISSION
The mission of Torpedoes Swim Team TT is to have a nationally recognized aquatics program that emphasizes good sportsmanship, team unity, family participation and individual excellence of swimmers at all levels.
The team provides every swimmer, regardless of ability, the opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, while promoting the values of discipline, good sportsmanship, education, and building relationships with those around them.
OUR OBJECTIVES
To provide trained coaches who meet the established standards of the team.
To create a framework that develops social skills, well-rounded athletic development and sound fundamentals for every competitive stroke through top quality coaching.
To test, measure, evaluate and review the parameters of our training program, the performances and holistic development of our swimmers.
To ensure the coaching staff emphasizes the long-term process of achieving success and the value of the process as seen equally important as the outcome itself to swimmers.
To build interpersonal and foundational skills of our swimmers by ensuring that our program focuses on techniques such as time management, stress management, effective methods of studying and communication, intrinsic motivation, self-responsibility and accountability, which will enable the swimmers to comfortably meet the demands of daily training.
